Ok, so this week has been a bit of a slow one. I got the painting done (see below). It’s not particularly great, but I’m just going to roll with it for now and get on with the digital stuff because that’s the exciting part. I may revisit the physical item later to make something that feels a little better (like a large format print or something).
I’ve begun familiarizing myself with Blender. So far, I’ve just made a doughnut. It’s not that great, but the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step, so I guess it’s fine. I’m trying to track down a good tutorial on sculpting a face that can be more of a guide for me as I work on my model. If I can’t figure it out by next week I’ll probably move to sculpting it IRL and then scanning it in and fine-tuning that in the computer. We shall see.
